Ben Loveard and
Sakke Siltala have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large Team, recognizing their excellence both on the course and in the classroom during the 2025-26 season.
The CSC Academic All-District program honors student-athletes who excel academically and athletically. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, compete in at least 70 percent of their institution's scoring events or participate in the conference championship lineup, and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Loveard appeared in the lineup for all 11 tournaments. He finished second on the team with a 72.3 adjusted scoring average and led the squad with 31 counting rounds out of 33 opportunities. Loveard matched the team lead with seven rounds in the 60s and recorded 17 rounds at even par or better. He led Texas State in three tournaments and posted one top-10 finish and six top-25 finishes during the year.
His best performance came at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational, where he tied for sixth at 7-under par. Loveard also ranked second on the team with 108 birdies and carded a season-low round of 65 during the second round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. He concluded the season with a tie for 47th place at the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Siltala earned Third-Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors after leading the Bobcats in six of the team's 11 tournaments. He paced Texas State with a 71.7 adjusted scoring average and had 29 counting rounds in 33 opportunities. Siltala matched the team lead with seven rounds in the 60s, including the team's lowest round of the season, a 64 in the opening round of the Hal Williams Collegiate.
He recorded 18 rounds at even par or better and led the Bobcats with six eagles and 123 birdies. Siltala's top finish of the season came at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational, where he placed fifth at 9-under par. He added four top-10 finishes and seven top-25 performances while posting a season-best 54-hole score of 207. At the Sun Belt Conference Championship, Siltala finished tied for seventh at 4-under par.
The Academic All-District selections add to an impressive list of accomplishments for both student-athletes, recognizing their dedication to excellence in competition and in the classroom.
