Bobcats Post Multiple Top-10 Finishes at Pacific Coast Invitational

LONG BEACH, Calif.— Texas State track & field posted multiple top-10 finishes Thursday at the Pacific Coast Invitational.

Charlize Goody led the way for the Bobcats, capturing the women's javelin title with a mark of 48.14 meters. Goody's win headlined a strong showing in the event, as Hannah Kemele placed second at 46.94 meters, while McKenah Sears added a fourth-place finish with a throw of 44.22 meters.

In the women's hammer throw, Elisabet Runarsdottir recorded a first-place finish with a mark of 70.96 meters, while Lara Roberts followed closely in second at 66.18 meters, giving Texas State two podium finishes in the event.

On the men's side, Manfred Mannamaa turned in a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 64.52 meters, and Daniel Strooh added a ninth-place finish in the discus at 58.18 meters.

Adam Carter rounded out the top-10 performances with a 10th-place finish in the men's shot put, recording a mark of 17.26 meters.

Texas State continues competition this weekend across Southern California, with additional events scheduled at Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational.
