SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's golf returns to action Monday and Tuesday for the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial in Charlottesville, Virginia, the final tournament ahead of the Sun Belt Conference Championship. The event features four top 25 teams including No. 2 and host Virginia, No. 14 Tennessee, No. 21 Charlotte and No. 25 Florida State.
The Bobcats are one of just three teams (Virginia, Loyola (Md)) to play in each event dating back to the tournament's inaugural year in 2022. They saw their highest placement of eighth at the event last season.
Round one begins with team times off Nos. 1 and 10 with live scoring available via Scoreboard on Clippd. The Bobcats are paired with Liberty and Maryland starting at 9:20 a.m. ET/8:20 a.m. CT

SEMMES, Alabama – The Texas State men's golf team climbed two spots on the final day of action to finish third at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate. The team finish was the highest for the Bobcats during the 2025-26 season. TXST (282-291-276--849) finished 3-under thanks to a third-round -8, the lowest third round for TXST since a final-round 273 at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational to close out February.
For the first time since the season-opening Myrtle Bay Intercollegiate,
Bryce Womack (68-75-68--211) led the TXST lineup, finishing tied for 11th in the 81-player field. The junior signed for his fifth and sixth rounds in the 60s this season and finished his fourth tournament of the season under par at -2. Womack registered 10 birdies and now has 15 rounds at even or under this season.
