Bobcats to Be Featured in ITA College Tennis Weekend Coverage

SAN MARCOS, Texas— Texas State women's tennis hits the road this weekend for a pair of matches in Louisiana, including one selected for national coverage as part of ITA College Tennis Weekend.

The Bobcats will face Louisiana Tech at 1 p.m. Saturday at the LA Tech Tennis Complex. The match will be streamed live on YouTube with commentary provided through a partnership between the ITA and Cracked Racquets.

Texas State will then travel to Lafayette for its third Sun Belt Conference match of the season against Louisiana at 11 a.m. Sunday at Cajun Courts.

The Bobcats enter the weekend 9-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play after splitting their opening Sun Belt matches. Texas State is 3-3 on the road this season.

Louisiana Tech enters the match with a 12-3 overall record and a perfect 4-0 mark in Conference USA play. The Bulldogs most recently fell 4-0 to Rice, snapping a nine-match winning streak. They are 3-0 at home this season.

Louisiana Tech is led by junior Zoie Epps, who is 12-1 on court one and riding a nine-match win streak, and freshman Isabella Walker, who holds a 10-2 record across courts five and six.

Epps and Walker also pair together on court one in doubles, posting a 7-4 record. The duo is likely to face Texas State's Ireland Simme and Olivia Collins, who were recently named the Sun Belt Conference Doubles Team of the Week.

Louisiana enters the weekend 10-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play, carrying an eight-match win streak. The Ragin' Cajuns are 5-1 at home this season. Louisiana will host Georgia Southern on Friday before facing Texas State on Sunday.

The Ragin' Cajuns are led by senior Angelique Berrat, who is 9-1 on court one with a seven-match win streak, and freshman Martina Della Gora, who is 8-1 across courts two through four and also riding a seven-match streak.

Texas State leads the all-time series 9-5 and earned a 4-1 victory in last season's meeting.
