SAN MARCOS, Texas— Texas State women's tennis returns to action this weekend with a pair of road matches as the Bobcats continue the spring season.

Texas State will open the weekend Friday in San Antonio, traveling to face St. Mary's at 12 p.m. at the Rohrbach Stadium Tennis Complex. The Bobcats will then head south to Edinburg on Saturday to take on UTRGV at 12 p.m. at the Orville I. Cox Tennis Center.

St. Mary's advanced to the semifinals of the Lone Star Conference Championship before falling to UT Tyler, 4-1, and later narrowly missed an DII NCAA tournament berth with a 4-3 loss to Dallas Baptist in the South Central Regional.

St. Mary's returns four players from last season's squad and is led by senior Alessia Terlizzi and junior Selina Wu. Terlizzi posted a 17-3 record last season on courts two and three, while Wu finished 15-5 on court one.
