SAN MARCOS, Texas— Texas State track and field will open the 2026 indoor season Friday at the Arkansas Invitational, hosted at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The one-day meet will feature 15 programs: Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Little Rock, Coffeyville CC, Iowa, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Pittsburg State, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Tennessee and UT Arlington.
Competition begins at 12:30 p.m. with qualifying rounds of the men's and women's 60-meter hurdles and 60-meter dash. Following the national anthem at 1:55 p.m., the meet resumes at 2 p.m. with the mile run.
Texas State will send seven athletes from its men's sprinters group to compete in the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, 200 meters and 400 meters.
Representing the Bobcats are Drew Donley, Ethan Moffett, Arveyon Davis, Ja'Shaun Lloyd, Ty'Shaun Lloyd, Reginald Bonner III and Philip Reed.
Five of the seven will make their collegiate debuts as Bobcats, with Donley and Moffett the lone returners from last season's indoor roster.
Donley recorded two top-10 times in program history in the 60 meter dash during the 2025 indoor season, posting the third-fastest mark (6.72 seconds) and sixth-fastest mark (6.74). He also earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors.
Texas State enters the indoor opener coming off a strong 2025 campaign, highlighted by a Sun Belt Conference indoor championship on the women's side and a third-place conference finish by the men.
The Arkansas Invitational will be streamed on SEC Network+, with live results available online.
