SAN MARCOS, Texas – Two of the top scoring offenses in the nation meet Thursday night at the Bobcat Soccer Complex when Texas State (3-1-1) takes on 19th-ranked Oklahoma (6-0-0) at 7:30 p.m. The Bobcats enter the match tied for sixth in the nation with 21 goals scored and the Sooners are tied for eighth having found the back of the net 20 times.

About Texas State
Texas State is coming off a 5-1 victory last Thursday over former Southland Conference foe Stephen F. Austin. It was the third time this season scoring at least five goals in a match. Only once before in program history have the Bobcats netted five or more goals in three matches over a five-contest span, with that being in the 2000 campaign.
Thursday's matchup is just the fifth ever against a ranked opponent and the second time facing such a foe at home. TXST is 0-3-1 in the previous four ranked contest with the most recent meeting being a scoreless draw last season at 13th-ranked Oklahoma State.
Leading the way offensively for Texas State is
Katrin Agustsdottir with four goals. Both
Constance Agyemang and
Helen Alormenu have netted three goals apiece. The fourth Bobcat to find the back of the net multiple times is
Sadie Guzman with two. Freshman Matsuri Tsusui has been credited with a team-high three assists while six of her teammates come into the contest with two each.
In goal,
Brooklyn Escobar has started all five matches and enters Thursday with a 1.79 GAA. The freshman has made 16 saves with a .696 save percentage.
Maude Rouanet has been in goal for 98:57 minutes with a 0.91 GAA and four stops.
About Oklahoma
The Sooners are coming off back-to-back shutouts at home over Louisiana Tech (3-0) and North Texas (1-0). The victories extended their winning streak to eight matches dating back to last season. The lone road match this season for OU took place on Aug. 24 and ended with a 4-1 victory at Tulsa.
Naomi Clark paces the team with six goals, 14 points, three match-winning goals and 14 shots on goal. Her 20 shot attempts are tied for the most on the team with Kayla Keefer, who has found the back of the net three times. Both Elle Canty and Juliette Rayo have scored twice. Leading the team with four assists is Lexi Dendis while Hadley Murrell has been credited with an assist three times.
Caroline Duffy has played 528:51 of a possible 540:00 minutes in goal. She sports a 0.51 GAA with 15 saves and a .833 save percentage.
Series History
Oklahoma has won the previous two meetings in the all-time series, both of which took place in Norman. Last time the teams met on the pitch was on Sept. 1, 2013 and ended with a 4-0 score. The first matchup was a 3-0 contest on Sept. 23, 2005.
