SAN MARCOS, Texas – After playing its first two matches of Sun Belt Conference play, Texas State (4-2-3, 1-0-1 Sun Belt) plays its first conference contest at the Bobcat Soccer Complex on Sunday. The Bobcats host Troy (5-3-1, 0-1-1 Sun Belt) for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

About Texas State
TXST picked up its first Sun Belt win of the season on Thursday with a 1-0 victory at Georgia Southern.
Mady Soumare scored the lone goal in the match to give the program its second-ever win in Statesboro. The Bobcats enter Sunday with a 25-1-0 record all-time in conference home openers.

Katrin Agustsdottir have recorded a team-high four goals.
Helen Alormenu has chipped in three tallies and the trio of

Victoria Meza and Soumare have found the back of the net twice. Overall, 13 different Bobcats have scored a goal this season that is the third most in the nation alongside Louisville and behind Houston (14) and Indiana State (14).

Matsuri Tsutsui. She is one shy of recording the third most assists in a season by a Bobcat freshman. Credited with three assists apiece are

Lilah Dupree,
Chloe Jones and Agustsdottir.

Brooklyn Escobar has started all nine matches in goal. She enters the weekend with a 1.65 GAA having made 32 saves with a .711 save percentage. The freshman recorded her first career shutout in Thursday's contest.

About Troy
The Trojans fell to Southern Miss 1-0 on Thursday night at home. They are 2-2-1 on the road this season that includes a scoreless draw versus Arkansas State to open Sun Belt play. Troy's two road victories were against Alcorn State and Stetson with both ending 3-1.

Jiselle Daniels is tied for the conference lead with seven goals and is second with 34 shots and 21 shots on goal. Both Elsa Stedman and Alaina Uncapher have scored two goals each. A team-high two assists have been credited to Grace Deshetler, Megan Hamm and Uncapher.

In goal, Taylor Richards has started eight matches where she sports a 0.75 GAA with 28 saves and a .824 save percentage along with three shutouts. Only match the Auburn transfer did not play in was at North Alabama that saw Nittany Vegas take her spot. The senior made five saves in the 2-1 loss.

Texas State leads the all-time series 8-6-1 and are undefeated in the last three meetings with two victories and one draw. Last season, the Bobcats claimed a 2-1 win on the road with the winning tally coming in the 83rd minute courtesy of
Marie Philipzen.

When hosting Troy, TXST is 3-1-1 all-time with the last meeting being a 1-1 draw on Sept. 24, 2023. The Bobcats haven't claimed a win in San Marcos in the series since Oct. 20, 2017. That night saw them win 4-2 behind three goals in a six-minute span early in the first half.
