SAN MARCOS, Texas – Looking to continue its hot start to the season, the Texas State soccer team (2-0-0) travels to College Station on Wednesday for a contest with Texas A&M (1-0-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from Ellis Field.

About Texas State
The Bobcats enter the match leading the nation with 14 goals and 14 assists. The goal total is the second most in program history after two contests behind the 2004 team's 16-goal mark.
Pacing TXST is
Katrin Agustsdottir with three goals while both
Helen Alormenu and
Sadie Guzman have found the back of the net twice. Entering the match with a team-high two assists are
Chloe Jones,
Kaylie Smith and Alormenu.
In goal,
Brooklyn Escobar started and played the first half in each contest but has not faced a shot.
Maude Rouanet comes in with four saves and a .800 save percentage after making three stops Sunday night at Incarnate Word.
About Texas A&M
The Aggies are coming off a 1-0 victory on Sunday against Lamar. In the season opener, Texas A&M played to a 1-1 draw with Baylor as both matches took place in College Station.
Finding the back of the net has been Trinity Buchanan and Leah Diaz. An assist apiece has been credited to Kaylee Noble, Hattie Patterson, Mia Scranton and Diaz.
Both Erica Defferding and Sydney Fuller have started a match in goal. Defferding, a UIW transfer, made one save in the shutout over the Cardinals. Fuller made three saves in the season opener.
Series History
Texas A&M has won all four previous meetings with all of them taking place in College Station. Last time the teams met was Mar. 27, 2021 with the Aggies claiming a 3-0 victory in what has been the only other regular season meeting. The first matches all came in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The only time the Bobcats have found the back of the net in the series was a 5-2 loss on Nov. 14, 2008.
