Texas State to Compete in Inaugural College Baseball Series in Cleburne

ARLINGTON, Texas – On Monday, REV Entertainment announced the expansion of its annual College Baseball Series to include a new tournament at La Moderna Field in Cleburne, Texas. The inaugural event will be held from Feb. 27-Mar. 1, 2026 and feature Texas State along with Abilene Christian, Creighton and Tarleton State.

Matchups and game times will be announced at a later date.

The Bobcats have faced two of the three other teams in the field with the lone exception being Abilene Christian. The Wildcats are coming off a co-regular season championship in the Western Athletic Conference and reached the league's tournament final.

Creighton is coming off a historic 2025 season that saw the team win 43 games, claim the Big East regular season and tournament titles and fell in the Fayetteville Regional final. The Blue Jays leads the all-time series over Texas State 5-4 but the Bobcats have claimed three of the last four meetings. Most recently, the teams played split two games in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2019.

The tournament will mark the third consecutive season that Tarleton State and Texas State will have met. The Bobcats have won the two contests including a 13-3, seven-inning affair in San Marcos back on Apr. 23.
