SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's golf head coach
Shane Howell has announced the addition of transfer standout Bryce Womack, who will join the Bobcats for the 2025-26 season.
A San Antonio, Texas, native, Womack comes to TXST from Midland College where he was a part of the 2025 NJCAA Division I National Championship team and earned individual second-team NJCAA All-America accolades as well as an honorable mention nod from PING. Womack finished tied for 11th at the season-culminating event and was ranked No. 9 nationally in 2024-25. He had a pair of wins and three top 10 finishes.
Prior to his time with the Chaparrals, Womack spent one season at Dallas Baptist where he competed in five tournaments, earning a top 10 finish at the MSSU Men's Fall Invitational. He also helped DBU to team championships at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite, DBU Classic and MSU Invitational. Womack is a former teammate of current TXST golfer
Brannan Cox as the pair spent the 2023-24 season with the Patriots.
Womack lettered all four years at Alamo Heights High School, garnering All-State, All-Region and All-District honors during his prep career.
He joins newcomers Jose Berenguel, a transfer from Arkansas – Pine Bluff, and incoming freshman Phoenix Guerra from Boerne Champion.
