GREENWOOD, Indiana – The Texas State men's golf team was represented by three student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) At-Large Academic All-District list for their work on the course and in the classroom during the 2024-25 season.

Jack Burke, Ben Loveard and Sakke Siltala were all honored as part of the organization's list.

Eligible student-athletes in CSC's At-Large category are selected as individuals from 10 NCAA sports and have achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade-point-average, while competing as a member of the team's lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or be the lineup at the conference championship tournament. Student-athletes must also be sophomores academically and athletically. 

Burke, a management major from Orange, Texas, earned third-team All-Sun Belt Conference accolades in 2025. The senior posted a top five finish at the Hal Williams Collegiate and collected eight total top 25 finishes. He finished second on the team in scoring average, had 18 rounds even or under par and eight rounds in the 60s, while leading TXST at three events.

Luton, England, native Loveard is a management major in his first season as a Bobcat. The junior made the lineup in 10 events, earning his highest finish of tied for 10th at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate. He shot six rounds even or under par including a team-best 64 in his first tournament at TXST.

A junior from Raisio, Finland, Siltala became the Bobcats' first Division I NCAA Championship qualifier, is a second-team All-Sun Belt selection and is majoring in German. He led the Bobcats in scoring average across 10 tournaments and topped the TXST lineup in seven. In all, he finished eight tournaments under par and had two runner-up finishes, including one at the NCAA Amherst Regional.

Additionally, Siltala has advanced from the all-district ballot and is eligible for All-America consideration. Those teams will be announced Wednesday, July 9.
