NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Texas State men's golf team saw three student-athletes named NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars following the 2024-25 season. Jack Burke, Ben Loveard and Sakke Siltala all earned the distinction.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

Jack Burke | Senior | Orange Texas
Burke, a management major who wrapped up four seasons of eligibility at TXST, earned third-team All-Sun Belt Conference accolades in 2025. The senior posted a top five finish at the Hal Williams Collegiate and collected eight total top 25 finishes. He finished second on the team in scoring average, had 18 rounds even or under par and eight rounds in the 60s, while leading TXST at three events.

Ben Loveard | Junior | Luton, England
Loveard is a management major who completed his first season as a Bobcat. The junior made the lineup in 10 events, earning his highest finish of tied for 10th at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate. He shot six rounds even or under par including a team-best 64 in his first tournament at TXST.

Sakke Siltala | Junior | Raisio, Finland
Siltala capped off his junior season by becoming the Bobcats' first Division I NCAA Championship qualifier and was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection. He is majoring in German. Siltala led TXST in scoring average across 10 tournaments and topped the TXST lineup in seven. In all, he finished eight tournaments under par and had two runner-up finishes, including one at the NCAA Amherst Regional.
