Bolden Inks with Bobcats

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's basketball head coach Terrence Johnson announced the signing of Jalen Bolden to the program for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jalen to Texas State. His athleticism, work ethic and experience in the Sun Belt Conference makes him a tremendous addition to our program," said Johnson. "His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor will be invaluable. We're excited to see him in a Bobcat uniform."

Bolden played the past three seasons at fellow Sun Belt member ULM. He appeared in 78 games and made 58 starts in a Warhawk uniform as he averaged 9.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.

This past season saw him lead the team in scoring at 13.2 ppg and with 58 steals, the third most in the conference. He was second on the squad with 81 assists and 6.0 rpg. His rebound mark was only bested by fellow Bobcat signee Makai Willis.

Bolden graduated from Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana. He was a three-time all-district selection and two-time all-state pick. During his time with the Broncos, Bolden helped lead them to an 88-19 record and LHSAA 5A state championships in 2021 and 2022.

As a senior, he averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists per contest while helping Zachary HS close out the 2021-22 season with 32 consecutive wins. Bolden was named to the Louisiana Sports Wristers Association 5A Most Outstanding Player, LSWA 5A All-State First Team and District 4-5A MVP.
