COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas State long jumper
Chris Preddie punched his ticket to the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in the long jump on day one of the NCAA West First Round.
Headed to Eugene
For the second time in his career and the first time since 2023, Preddie will be heading to Eugene, Oregon to compete in the long jump at the NCAA T&F National Championships.
The junior recorded a mark of 8.01m/26-3.5 during his second attempt of the event and ended the day with a second-place finish to secure his spot at the national meet and move up to third all-time in TXST history for the event.
Quarterfinals Bound
In the men's 110m hurdles,
Daniel Harrold moved qualified for Friday's quarterfinals with a time of 13.73. Harrold goes into the quarterfinals ranked 19
th and will compete at 6:15 PM on Friday.
Personal Best Day
In the men's javelin,
Connor Warzecha recorded a PB throw of 67.81m/222-5 and barley missed the cutoff for nationals. Warzecha placed 16
th, which is just four spots short of qualifying for nationals and moved to fifth in the TXST history books for the event.
