SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis hits the road for a pair of matches to begin Sun Belt Conference play this weekend. The Bobcats will face Georgia Southern on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT and Coastal Carolina on Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
Texas State enters the weekend with eight consecutive wins, tying its winning streak from last season and marking its second-longest streak since 2012. The Bobcats will also be in search of their 10th win of the season. A 10th win would be the third time since 2012 that Texas State has achieved double-digit wins.
Texas State has three players entering the weekend looking to keep their singles winning streaks intact. Ireland Simme has a nine-match win streak, Emily Niers has an eight-match win streak, and Kiana Graham has a six-match win streak on court one.
The Bobcats' record of 9-2 is the second-best in the Sun Belt heading into conference play.

Coastal Carolina enters Sunday's match against Texas State with a 5-3 record. The Chanticleers will open Sun Belt Conference play against Louisiana on Saturday at home.
The Chanticleers have won their last four matches and are led by Anna Babayan, who holds a 6-0 record on court one and a 3-1 record in doubles play on court one.
Coastal Carolina leads the all-time series against Texas State 3-1. The Bobcats won last year's match 4-3 in San Marcos.
