Tennis Returns Home for a Pair of SBC Matches

TXST will face ULM on Friday and Arkansas State on Sunday.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis returns to the Bobcat Tennis Complex for two Sun Belt Matches. The Bobcats will take on ULM on Friday at 1 p.m. and Arkansas State at 10 a.m.

TXST heads into the weekend with a 10-3 overall record and a 1-1 record in SBC play. The Bobcats split their matches during the opening weekend of SBC play beating Georgia Southern 4-0 and dropping their match versus Coastal Carolina 0-4.

The Bobcats will be searching for their 11th win of the season on Friday against ULM, this would tie their number of wins from last season. Wins over both ULM and Arkansas State would move TXST to 12 wins, which would be its greatest number of wins since 2012 (14-6).

ULM comes into Friday's match with an 3-4 overall record and a 0-1 record in conference play. The Warhawks dropped their first SBC match of the season 2-5 versus Arkansas State.

ULM holds a 11-7 lead in the all-time series against the Bobcats. Texas State has won the last two matchups and defeated the Warhawks 4-0 last season.

Arkansas State carries a record of 8-4 heading into their matchup with TXST. The Red Wolves, who have an 1-0 record in SBC play, will face Louisiana on Friday before heading to San Marcos.

The Red Wolves are led by court one player Anna Grigoreva who holds a 7-4 record in singles play and 6-6 record in doubles play.

TXST has a 7-2 all-time series lead over Arkansas State and last years match 5-2.
