Three Bobcats Called Up to National Teams

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Three current and former Texas State soccer players were called up to play for their national teams during the February international window. Both Victoria Meza and Juana Plata are playing for El Salvador and mid-year enrollee Nina Norshie is competing for Ghana.

El Salavador is playing two friendly matches against Ecuador in Quito, Ecuador. The first contest took place on Wednesday that saw Meza in the starting XI. It was her 13 career caps for the national team. Plata has recorded nine caps with the team and is currently playing for Cruz Acul of Liga MX Femenil.

The second friendly between the teams is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22.

Norshie is a defender that arrived in San Marcos in January after playing this past fall at Florida State. The defender is in the starting lineup today for the Black Queens as they take on Morocco in Casablanca.
