SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis continues its spring season on Friday with a match against Tarleton State. Friday's match will begin at 11 a.m. and will take place at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
Heading into the match with Tarleton State, the Bobcats have won four matches in a row and have secured the doubles point in three of their last four bouts.
Callie Creath and Kiana Graham will look to move to 6-0 in doubles play during Friday's match. The pair has won five consecutive sets on court No. 3.
In singles play, Ireland Simme is the only TXST player with an undefeated record. Playing on court six, Simme is 5-0 in singles play.
Emily Niers has only dropped one singles match this season and sits at 4-1. She has recorded straight-set victories in three of her last four matches.
With a win over Tarleton State, the Bobcats would secure five consecutive wins, which would be the third time they have done so since joining the Sun Belt Conference in 2014.

The Texans head to San Marcos with a 4-1 record and have held their opponents to one point or less in three of their four wins.
Tarleton State has three players with undefeated records in singles play, including freshman Duru Kuscu, who is 4-0 on court No. 2.
Kuscu was named the WAC Singles Player of the Week on Jan. 28 and is one of six Texans to win a WAC women's tennis weekly award in the last two weeks.
This will be the fourth time Texas State and Tarleton State have faced each other. The Bobcats lead the series 2-1 but dropped last year's match 3-4.
