Women's Basketball to Face Texas Tech on Sunday

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Texas State women's basketball is will have its first road game of the year on Sunday, Nov. 9 at Texas Tech. Tipoff is slated for 2 pm in Lubbock and fans can tune in on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY

Texas State is 1-14 all-time against Texas Tech.
Their last meeting was on Nov. 22, 2021 and Texas Tech won 83-57.
The Bobcats last win against Texas Tech was Nov. 12, 2018 by a 83-70 scoreline.

MEET THE ROSTER

The Freshmen: Texas State has added two freshmen, Angela Carroll and Kaliyah Murphy.
The Transfers: Texas State has added seven transfers, including three Division I transfers.
- The Bobcats added Deja Jones (Gr., Indiana State), Myri Walker (Sr., South Alabama), and KP Parr(So., Wichita State) to this year from other Division I institutions.
- Antoine brought in four junior college transfers as well, Myla Harbor (Hinds), Kyla McBride(Northwest Florida State), Kyaija Stewart (Daytona State) and Kyra Anderson (Tyler).
The Returners: Antoine returns four members from 2024-2025 to this year's team.
- Saniya Burks leads the returners for minutes played and points scored last year as she enters her sophomore season.
- Taleiyah Gibbs played in 25 games for the Bobcats last season off the bench and returns for her junior season as well.
- Also returning are Mia Galbraith who missed the year with an ACL injury, and Takeira Ramey who missed the latter half of last season with an ACL injury.

ABOUT THE RED RAIDERS

Texas Tech finished the 2024-2025 season with a 19-18 record, going 4-14 in conference play.
The Red Raiders are led by 6th year head coach Krisa Gerlich who has a 79-83 record in her time at Texas Tech.
So far this season, the Red Raider scoring is led by Snudda Collins who's averaging 31 points per game and Bailey Maupin who's averaging 30. Defensively, Jalynn Bristow leads the rebounding with eight a night.

The Bobcats will stay on the road for a game at UTSA on Nov. 13 with tipoff slated for 6:30 pm. That game can be streamed on ESPN+.
