SAN MARCOS, TX — Texas State softball head coach Ricci Woodard and the Bobcat softball coaching staff have announced the additions of six players to its 2026 Signing Class.
The Bobcats add six players, five of which are Texas natives. Macee Jackson from Tucson, Arizona joins the Bobcats as the lone out-of-state signee for the 2026 class. Woodard has added players all over the field, with a pitcher, a catcher, two outfielders, and two utility players.
Jayleigh Dressler | 5'5'' | R/R | C/UTL | Wylie, Texas
Dressler is a catcher and utility player out of Wylie, Texas who prepped at Wylie East High School … she was a 2025 bi-district champion and First Team All-District member … she was a three-time Academic All-District team member and won the Shining the Way Student Award … Dressler played travel ball for Titans 18U Buettner, Texas Glory, American Freedom Collins, and Texas Glory Adkins Wylie … she has been playing travel ball since 2017 … she is a National Honors Society and Raiders LEAD member … she chose Texas State because, "the gorgeous coaching staff, outstanding program and endless possibilities available to help me achieve my dreams."

Jackson is a right-handed pitcher out of Tucson, Arizona who prepped at Salpointe Catholic High School … in 2025 she was ranked Southwest First Team by Extra Inning Softball for the Class of 2026, ranked 30th of the top 2026 Extra Elite 100 Pitchers 2025 PGF National Champions - AZ Rising Appel … she was a 1st Team All Region, 4A Kino 1st Team All State, 4A Pitcher of the Year, Voted Salpointe High School MVP for Softball, AZ 4A State Runner-Up and Salpointe Catholic High School Junior Athlete of the Year … in 2024 she was voted Salpointe High School MVP for Softball, was 1st Team All Region, 4A Southern AZ Super Sophomore 2nd Team All State, and a AZ 4A State Champions … she played travel ball for Arizona Rising Apple out of Phoenix
Madelyn Kingslien | 5'5'' | R/R | UTL | Liberty Hill, Texas
Kingslien is an infielder out of Liberty Hill, Texas who prepped at Liberty Hill High School … she is a First Team All-District team member and three time District Champion … she is academic All-District as well … Kingslien played travel ball for the Blaze, Illusions and Buzz Gold and has been playing travel ball since 2016 … she chose Texas State because of, "the welcoming community, supportive coaching staff, competitive spirt, and team culture."
Kaitlyn Miller | 5'7" | L/L | OF | Humble, Texas
Miller is an outfielder out of Humble, Texas who prepped at Atascocita High School in Atascocita, Texas … she was a 1
stTeam NFCA All-American and All-Region team member … she was named TGCA All-State and 2025 First-Team All-District … she was a Texas prep Varsity Top-25 Outfielder … in 2024 she was First Team All-District and Offensive Player of the Year … was named to the Houston Chronicle Greater Houston Second Team … she is a four-year letterwinner as well … played travel ball for the Texas Riptide out of Houston for three years, as well at Impact Gold for two years.
Payton Shugart | 5'5'' | L/R | C | Pearland, Texas
Shugart is a catcher out of Pearland, Texas who prepped at Pearland High School … she is a four year varsity letterman … was named First Team All-District and All-State as a sophomore and junior … in her sophomore and junior years she was named most outstanding Offensive Player of the Year … she played travel ball for Hotshots National Galloway and Jones … she chose to come to Texas State because, "the first time I stepped on the field in San Marcos, it just felt like home. The campus is beautiful, and the players and coaches made me feel like family."
Cadee Zimmer | 5'7'' | L/L | OF | Seguin, Texas
Zimmer is an outfielder out of Seguin, Texas who prepped at Navarro High School in Geronimo, Texas … in 2025 she was named to Softball America's Top 100 2026 Players and the 2025 Preseason San Antonio Players to Watch list … she was a 2025 Prep Softball Top 100 Player … in 2024 she was named to Softball America's 2026 Hot Watch list for Outfielders and was an Academic All District team member in 2024 … in 2023 she was Academic All-District, 1
st Team All-District and Navarro Defensive team MVP … she was a National Honor Society member and senior class treasurer … she played travel ball for Bomber Gold Zimmer, Hotshots Naudin National Villegas and Hotshots National Nelson
