Ricci Woodard and Texas State softball have announced the 2026 Bobcat Softball schedule.
Texas State will start the year at a tournament at Arizona State where they'll face Northwestern, Toledo and Memphis the weekend of Feb 2.
The Bobcats will host three tournaments this season. The first being the States Up Invitational from Feb. 12-15 where the Bobcats will host BYU, Clemson, Arkansas and Wichita State.
The second tournament, the River State Classic, will run Feb. 20-22 and the Bobcats will host Oklahoma State, Colorado State, Brown and UMKC that weekend. Colorado State is the lone future-Pac 12 opponent that the Bobcats will face this season.
Before the team's final home tournament, the Bobcats will host a weekend against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Feb. 26 and a pair of games against Southeastern Louisiana on Feb. 27/28.
Closing out the tournaments, Texas State will host the San Marcos Show Down from March 6-8 with Texas A&M, Tarleton State and St. Francis coming to Bobcat Softball Stadium.

Also coming to Bobcat Ballpark for non-conference meetings in 2026 is Sam Houston (March 11), Texas (March 25), UTSA (April 7) and Baylor (April 22). Other non-conference games include road games at Houston (March 17), Lamar (March 18), UTSA (March 31), and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (April 21).
In conference play Texas State will start the slate hosting ULM from March 13-15 before going to Lafayette for meetings with Louisiana from March 20-22. The Bobcats will then host Marshall on March 27-29 and go to South Alabama from April 2-4.
Texas State will make its final trip to Troy for. Series from April 10-12 before hosting Southern Miss on April 17-19. The Bobcats will close out the home slate from April 24-26 against Coastal Carolina. Texas State will go to App State to close the regular season from April 30-May 2.
The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held at Louisiana from May 5-9.
