SAN MARCOS, Texas –  Texas State softball's
Aiyana Coleman, previously named Sun Belt Player and Newcomer of the Year, has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region third team.

This is the first All-Region selection for Coleman in her career, and she is the lone Bobcat to receive the NFCA All-Region this season.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the NFCA's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams.Â

All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA Division I All-America squads.

The Bobcats have had at least one player named to NFCA All-Region each year since 2013, except for the 2020 season that was cancelled midway through due to COVID-19. Coleman is Texas State and Head Coach

Coleman was named Sun Belt Conference Player and Newcomer of the Year this season after finishing the year having batted .421 with 51 hits, 17 home runs, 55 RBI and having walked 44 times. Coleman is the single season record holder for the Bobcats in home runs and RBI after her landmark 2025 season. She finished the season slugging .893 which was the most of any Bobcat in program history.

Texas State finished the season 34-19 and 18-6 in Sun Belt play as Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Champions.Â
