Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State baseball head coach Steven Trout announced on Thursday the 2026 schedule. Of the 56 games, a program record 34 will be played at Bobcat Ballpark.

For the 16th consecutive year, the Bobcats will open the season at home when they welcome Niagara to town from Feb. 13-15. It will be the second straight year in which TXST begins a campaign against a program from the state of New York.

A preview of future Pac-12 Conference opponents will be featured over two weekends in San Marcos. Texas State hosts Gonzaga (Feb. 20-22) for a three-game series and Washington State (Mar. 5-8) in a four-game series.

The only weekend on the road during non-conference play is for the previously announced College Baseball Series in Cleburne, Texas from Feb. 28-Mar. 1 with two games against Abilene Christian and once versus Tarleton State.

Sun Belt Conference play at home starts off with Louisiana (Mar. 20-22). Other conference series at Bobcat Ballpark will be against Georgia Southern (Apr. 2-4), Troy (Ap. 10-12), South Alabama (May 1-3) and Marshall (May 14-16).

The Bobcats will open Sun Belt action on the road versus ULM (Mar. 13-15). They will also travel to face Georgia State (Mar. 27-29), Southern Miss (Apr. 17-19), Coastal Carolina (Apr. 24-26) and Arkansas State (May 8-10).

In home midweek action, nine games will take place at Bobcat Ballpark. Texas State's first such contest is against I-35 rival UTSA (Feb. 24). Power 4 conference opponents coming to town will be Texas (Mar. 10), Texas A&M (Apr. 7) and Baylor (May 5). Other midweek home games are against UTRGV (Mar. 24), Stephen F. Austin (Apr. 8), HCU (Apr. 14), Incarnate Word (Apr. 21) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Apr. 28).

Only four times will TXST hit the road in midweek action. The first contest is against the Bears (Feb. 17) and the second game is a month later versus the Aggies (Mar. 17) in College Station. The Bobcats will be going for their program record fifth consecutive win in Austin over the Longhorns on Mar. 31. The final away game of the season is in the Alamo City on May 12 against the Roadrunners.

The Sun Belt Conference Championship will be from May 19-24 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama.
