SAN MARCOS, Texas – Four sprinters –
Drew Donley,
Daniel Garland,
Taejha Badal and Ma'khi Falkquay – will compete in the New Mexico Team Open on Friday and Saturday.
Friday's portion of the meet will begin at 4 p.m. with the men's unseeded 200 meters, and Saturday's portion will begin with the prelims of the men's 60-meter hurdles at 11:30 a.m.
Badal and Falkquay will compete in the invitational section of the women's 60 meters and 200 meters on Friday and Saturday. After her performances in the 60 meters and 200 meters at the Ted Nelson Invite, Badal leads the Sun Belt in the 200 meters and is ranked eighth in the 60 meters.
Donley will compete in the men's unseeded 200 meters on Friday and the men's 60-meter invitational section on Saturday. He is currently ranked second in the SBC for the 200 meters and third in the conference for the 60 meters.
Garland will join Donley in the men's unseeded 200 meters on Friday and will also compete in the men's unseeded 60 meters on Friday. In the SBC, Garland is ranked seventh in the 200 meters after recording a time of 21.99 at the Ted Nelson Invite.
