Tennis Continues Season With Match at UTSA

The Bobcats look to move to 2-1 on Saturday with a win over the Roadrunners

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Bobcats will take a trip down I-35 to face rivals UTSA for their third match of the season on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Texas State is 1-1 on the season after splitting its opening-season doubleheader matches against Southeast Missouri State and No. 4-ranked Oklahoma State. TXST defeated SEMO in the first match of the doubleheader but fell to OSU to end the day.

Newcomers Tadiwa Mauchi and Ireland Simme head into this weekend's match holding a 1-0 record in singles play. Mauchi won her match 6-4, 6-1 on court four against SEMO's Juliette Demunck, and Simme won on court six 6-0, 6-3 versus SEMO's Kristina Kozakova.

A win for the Bobcats on Saturday would move them to 2-1, their best start to a season since 2020.

Texas State (1-1, 0-0 Sun Belt) at UTSA (4-0, 0-0 AAC) | 2 p.m. | UTSA Tennis Center
