Final Results
NORMAN, Okla. – The Texas State women's golf team wrapped up action at the weather-shortened Schooner Fall Classic Monday afternoon in Norman. The three-day event was scheduled for 54 holes across three days but was shortened to 36 due to rain.
Fia Lindblom completed the second 18 at +4 to finish 4-over 144 for the tournament and tied for 35th place. Tied in 55th were
Mattingly Palmer and
Yvonne Chamness, who shot +6 and +2, respectively, on the day for an overall 7-over.
Rounding out the group were
Ella Salama (+9, T63rd), who carded the best round of the day for the Bobcats at +1, and
Allie Justiz (+16, T78h).
As a team, TXST finished 15th, matching its 13-over score from round one to finish the event 26-over. Houston won the event, taking the number one spot from day one leader and eventual runner up Auburn, and Florida State finished third.
The Bobcats are back in action Oct. 4-6 at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by Denver at the UD Golf Course.
