SAN MARCOS, Texas – The four-match homestand at the Bobcat Soccer Complex for the Texas State soccer team (1-1-0) continues Sunday when it hosts Incarnate Word (1-1-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are coming off a hard fought 1-0 victory over I-35 rival UTSA on Thursday.
Mady Soumare scored the lone goal of the contest in the 19th minute. The victory extended TXST's undefeated run at home to seven matches (5-0-2).
Along with Soumare, the only other Texas State player to find the back of the net this season has been
Anna Dunch. Credited with an assist each has been
Victoria Meza and
Mya Ulloa.
In goal, both
Caitlyn Draper and
Katelyn Chrisman have each started once. Draper got the start against the Roadrunners and made five saves to record her sixth career shutout. Chrisman stopped seven shots in the season opener at Rice.
About Incarnate Word
Just like Texas State, the Cardinals picked up their first win of the season on Thursday. They went on the road and defeated Prairie View A&M 3-0. UIW began the season with a 1-1 draw against Tarleton State and fell 1-0 to UTSA last Sunday.
Scoring a goal apiece has been Janaya Doane, Peri Olmo, Ellie Mai Sanford and Sierra Wannamaker. The trio of Sinead Duffy, Alex Knutson and Kiana Villa have recorded an assist apiece. Leading the team with five shots each are Knutson and Wannamaker.
Erica Defferding started the first two matches in goal where she recorded 14 saves for a .875 save percentage and 1.00 GAA. Faith Davies started against the Panthers and made five saves in the contest.
