SAN MARCOS, Texas – Following Sun Belt Conference individual and team titles, Texas State women's golf is set for the NCAA Division I Bryan Regional at the Traditions Club (Par 72, 6,162 yards) in Bryan on May 6-8.

The first round will take place on Monday and the Bobcats will tee off from the first tee starting at 8:50 a.m.

This is Texas State's first NCAA regional appearance 2016 and seventh overall. In 2016, the Bobcats competed in the Bryan Regional at the Traditions Club and finished 14th (296-304-307; 907).

Other years in which Texas State made an NCAA Regional were 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. The Bobcats played in Austin in 2008 but have played outside of the state of Texas in all other years.

This also marks the second year of the six-regional, 12-teams-per-regional format for the NCAA championship.

Teams and individual competitors will be re-paired according to round one scores after the first round and by 36-hole cumulative scores after the second round. Teams 1-3 and 7-9 will tee off from the first tee on Tuesday and Wednesday while Teams 4-6 and 10-12 will tee off from the 10th hole.

The top-five teams from each of the six regionals as well as the highest finishing individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Division I Championship Finals on May 17-22 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
