SAN MARCOS, Texas – The final week of the regular season sees Texas State hit the road for four games. First up is a meeting with McNeese on Tuesday from Joe Miller Ballpark with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats are coming off a series victory over then 21-ranked Troy to close out the home slate for the campaign. It was the fourth time in program history TXST has won a series over a ranked opponent with one coming over the past three seasons. In midweek games, the team is 8-5 with a 3-2 mark in road games.
Ryne Farber continues to lead Texas State with a .352 batting average. He has scored 35 runs, driven in 25 and drawn 24 walks while striking out just seven times. Kameron Weil heads in hitting .326 with nine steals and 25 runs scored.
Leading the team with 56 hits, 53 runs, 11 steals and 10 home runs is Aaron Lugo. The junior third baseman has also hit 10 doubles and posted 42 RBI. Chase Mora has a team-high 47 RBI and Daylan Pena enters having plated 40 runs.
Getting the start on the mound will be Calen Graham. The right-hander sports a 7.90 ERA and has struck out seven in 13.2 innings. He has pitched in 10 games and made two previous midweek starts.
ABOUT MCNEESE
The Cowboys are coming off a series win at home over HCU this past weekend. They have gone 8-5 in midweek games with a 6-2 mark at home. When playing at Joe Miller Ballpark, McNeese is 20-10 on the season.
Cooper Hext leads the team with a .312 average, 44 runs, 19 stolen bases and seven triples. He has driven in 30 runs and is one of four players to have hit a team best six homers along with Chase Keeton (.236 AVG, 29 RBI), Simon Larranaga (.324 AVG, 18 RBI) and Conner Westernberg (.307 AVG, 37 RBI).
Tuesday's starters is still to be announced.
Earning a team best five saves has been Cameron LeJeune. He has also gone 6-2 with a staff-low 4.11 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 61.1 innings over 19 games including seven starts. Picking up two saves apiece has been Brock Barthelemy (3-0, 6.86 ERA) and Kainin Morrow (3-2, 5.50 ERA, 32 K).
SERIES VS. THE COWBOYS
Texas State leads the all-time series 43-34. The Bobcats won the last two meetings in 2019 in Lake Charles and are 4-1 over the last five contests since leaving the Southland Conference. When playing McNeese on the road, TXST is 20-18 all-time and are winners of seven of the last nine of those meetings.
