SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the second straight weekend Texas State is on the road for a Sun Belt Conference series. The Bobcats will take on ULM for three games at Lou St. Amant Field beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. Saturday's contest is slated for a 2 p.m. first pitch and finale on Sunday will start at 12 p.m.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats are coming off a 7-3 win at Texas that clinched the season series. It was also the program's third consecutive win in Austin over the Longhorns, which is the second longest in program history. Last weekend saw TXST drop the first two games at Marshall before claiming the series finale.

Daylan Pena enters the weekend on a 29-game reached base streak, which is the fifth longest in program history. For the season, the junior is batting .321 with 11 doubles, six home runs and 27 RBI.
Chase Mora has driven in a team best 28 runs and
Aaron Lugo is right behind him with 26 RBI having hit a team leading eight round trippers.

Getting the start on Friday will be
Austin Eaton, who is 2-3 with a 4.54 ERA and 24 strikeouts over 35.2 innings. Also tossing 35.2 frames and making the start on Saturday is
Sam Hall. The sophomore has gone 1-3 with one save with 35 strikeouts while making nine appearances including six starts. Taking the ball on Sunday is
Drayton Brown as he enters the weekend 0-2 with a 2.73 ERA and 28 punch outs.

ABOUT ULM
The Warhawks have lost three straight and 12 of their last 16 games. Last weekend saw them get swept on the road by Sun Belt leading Louisiana. ULM went 1-2 in its first three conference series against Coastal Carolina, Georgia State and Troy.

Michelle Artzberger leads the team with a .410 average and 11 doubles while also scoring 29 runs, driving in 27 and hitting three homers. Easton Winfield comes in with a team best seven long balls, 32 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. The freshman also has five doubles and two triples on the year.

Both Bryce Blaser (.333 AVG) and Colby Lunsford (.321 AVG, 3 3B, 31 R) are batting over .300.

Friday will see left-hander Cam Barlow start on the rubber. He is 1-2 with a 4.72 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 26.2 innings over nine games including four starts. Beau Blanchard is slated to start on Saturday and the right-hander has posted a 1-3 record, 5.79 ERA and 24 strikeouts. Sunday's starter is still to be announced.

SERIES VS. THE WARHAWKS
Texas State leads the all-time series 53-37. The Bobcats won the series last season at home and have claimed 11 of the last 14 meetings dating back to 2019. Last time the teams met in Monroe was in 2019 with TXST sweeping the series that included two one-run victories.

When taking on the Warhawks on the road, Texas State is 21-19 all-time. This weekend will be the fourth series in Monroe for the Bobcats since joining the Sun Belt.
