SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis heads to Nacogdoches this weekend for its second set of road matches. The Bobcats face Stephen F. Austin on Saturday at 1 p.m. and then take on Lamar on Sunday at 11 a.m. 

The Bobcats (2-2) were in Stephenville this past weekend for a set of matches that were both canceled due to rain.  

Despite last weekend's cancelations, the Bobcats are riding a two-match winning streak.

SFA is 5-1 coming into the matchup with the Bobcats and are 2-1 versus Sun Belt teams this year.  

The Lumberjacks are led by sophomores Ksenia Mamontova and Felicia Back. In singles play, Mamontova is 3-2 on court one, while Back is 5-1 on court two. 

This will be the 18th matchup between Texas State and SFA and the Bobcats hold a 12-5 series lead over the Lumberjacks.  

Texas State won the match 6-1 last season.  

Lamar  
Lamar has a 4-1 record on the season and will face SFA on Friday before their matchup with the Bobcats.  

Lamar is led by Leah Kuruvilla, who is featured on court one for both doubles and singles. Kuruvilla is unbeaten in doubles matches this year with various partners and holds a 3-2 record in singles matches.  

Sunday will mark the ninth matchup of a series that is tied 4-4 between the Bobcats and the Cardinals.  

Texas State won the match last year, defeating Lamar 5-2.
