DENVER— Texas State women's basketball will head back out on the road for a game at Denver on Sunday afternoon. The game, slated for tip off at 2 pm (CT), will be streamed on the Summit League Network.
SERIES HISTORY
• Texas State has a 1-3 record all-time against Denver.
• The Bobcats win was in the two team's last meeting on Dec. 14, 2023 when the Bobcats won 72-46.
• All three of the Bobcats losses came back in 2013 when the Bobcats played their lone season in the Western Athletic Conference.
MEET THE ROSTER
- The Freshmen: Texas State has added four freshman, Heather Baymon, Saniya Burks, Takeira Ramey, and Melinda Winston.
- Three of the four freshmen played high school basketball in the state of Texas (Burks, Baymon, Winston) while Ramey is the lone freshman coming from out of state.
- All four freshman have seen minutes and scored this season. Burks started in the season opener versus Eastern Michigan.
- The Transfers: Texas State has added six transfers, including five Division I transfers.
- The Returners: Antoine returns five members from 2023-2024 to this year's team.
THE BOBCAT BENCH:
- Texas State is currently ranked No. 20 in the nation for its average of 32.3 bench points a night. The Bobcats have outscored their opponent's bench in six of their eight games so far.
- All 15 Bobcats have played in a game and scored already this season.
ABOUT THE PIONEERS
- Denver finished the 2023-24 season with an 8-22 record, going 5-11 in Summit League play.
- They are currently 5-5 this season with wins over Christian Brothers, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, Portland State and Northern Colorado.
- The Pioneers are led by 5th year head coach Doshia Woods who has a 42-81 record in her time with the program.
- The Pioneers leading scorer is Jordan Jones who has 195 points so far this season for an average of 19.5 per game. Jones also leads the rebounding with 8.1 a night and 81 on the season.

The Bobcats will return home next week for an I-35 Rivalry meeting with the UTSA Roadrunners inside Strahan Arena. This game will be part of 'Holiday Hoops' night in Strahan Arena with various holiday themed activities for families to enjoy. Additionally, the game will serve as the first game of a double header with Texas State men's basketball, who face Georgia Southern afterwards.
