About Arkansas State
The Red Wolves have dropped their first two Sun Belt matches with losses at home to Georgia Southern and South Alabama. ASU's scheduled match this past Sunday at App State was postponed until Oct. 20 due to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. On the road, the Red Wolves are 1-1-0 with a win over Western Kentucky and a loss at Louisiana Tech.

Pacing the team with two goals apiece is Keelyn Peacock and Emma Riales. They also have taken a team-high 22 and 13 shots, respectively. Finding the back of the net once has been Omamuzo Edafe, Kennedy Horn and Maya Jones. Leading the way with two assists is Nicoline Hansen.

Damaris Deschaine has started all eight matches in goal. She comes in with 36 saves and a conference best .878 save percentage and 0.63 GAA.

Series History
The all-time series between the teams is tied 6-6-2. However, ASU had three of its wins in the series over the 2020 and 2021 seasons be vacated due to NCAA rule violations. Last season, the teams played to a scoreless draw in Jonesboro that saw the Bobcats outshoot the Red Wolves 21-13 and 6-4 in shots on goal.

When playing in San Marcos, Texas State has gone 4-3-0 in the series. Last time the teams met at the Bobcat Soccer Complex was on Sept. 17, 2022. The Bobcats won 2-1 behind first half goals from Olivia Wright and Junior with the victory snapping a five-match winless streak in the series.
