SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team (6-3-1, 1-0-1 SBC) is back home on Sunday when it hosts Troy (5-5-0, 0-2-0 SBC) at the Bobcat Soccer Complex with kickoff set for 12 p.m.

About Texas State
Entering Sunday, the Bobcats are on a five-match unbeaten streak after playing to a scoreless draw on Thursday at Arkansas State. They are currently tied for second in the Sun Belt Conference with four points and atop the West Division standings with Southern Miss.
A team-high three goals have been scored by
Halle Garcia,
Zoe Junior and
Mady Soumare. Finding the back of the net twice has been
Victoria Meza, who leads the team with three assists, and
Olivia Wright. Six TXST players have been credited with two assists.
Caitlyn Draper comes into the contest with the Trojans having not allowed a goal in her last three starts, which has lowered her GAA to 0.21 while also recording 19 saves and a .950 save percentage. The freshman has not allowed a goal in her last 344:54 minutes on the pitch. Overall, the Bobcats have held opponents scoreless for the last 402:37 minutes to rank as the ninth longest streak in team history.
About Troy
Troy heads into Sunday on a four-match losing streak. The most recent defeat on Thursday saw Southern Miss net the match-winning tally with 14 seconds left on the clock in a 2-1 contest. The Trojans have also fallen to App State, North Florida and Samford during the stretch. When playing on the road, Troy is 1-3-0 with the lone win coming in the season opener at Lipscomb.
Gabrielle Chartier leads the team with four goals, nine points, 18 shots and 11 shots on goal. Scoring twice has been Delaney Wells and Dolce Villafor while a team leading two assists have been credited to Riley Rojahn (1 G), Jordan Stack (1 G) and Danielle Trovato.
In goal, Rubie Keley has played in eight matches and made seven starts. She has a 1.01 GAA with 22 saves and a .729 save percentage. Une Hebnes Georgsen has started two contests including Thursday's match against the Golden Eagles. The redshirt sophomore sports a 1.00 GAA with seven saves and a .778 save percentage. Also appearing in two matches with one start is Stephanie Pereff, who sports a 2.800 GAA and two stops with one coming in her start versus the Mountaineers.
All-Time vs. Trojans
Texas State holds a slim 7-6-0 advantage in the all-time series that has seen each team record two three-match winning streaks. Last season, the Bobcats won 2-1 on the road with both goals being scored in the final seven minutes from
Kiara Gonzales and
Wimberley Wright for the comeback victory.
Sunday will be the first time the teams will face each other in San Marcos since 2019. Texas State is 3-1-0 when hosting the Trojans with the lone loss being a 1-0 setback in overtime on Oct. 25, 2019. The Bobcats' last home victory came on Oct. 20, 2017 by a score of 4-2 behind a brace from Kaylee Davis.
