SAN MARCOS, Texas – Sun Belt Conference play kicks off for Texas State (4-3-0) on Sunday at the Bobcat Soccer Complex against Louisiana (3-2-2). Start time of the match is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Bobcats enter conference play on a two-match winning streak with the most recent victory being over Houston last Sunday. It was the program's second-ever win over a current member of a Power 5 conference with the first occurring all the way back in 2002.

The Ragin' Cajuns ended non-conference play with a 2-0 loss at home to Lamar this past Sunday. On the road, they are 2-1-2 with wins over Grambling and Stephen F. Austin, draws versus FIU and Middle Tennessee and the lone loss coming against Florida Atlantic.
Megan Bradley leads the squad with three goals and seven points. All five of her shot attempts have been on frame. Coming in with tow goals and one assist is Sisley Stephens and she is also tied for the team lead with seven shots with Tatum Beck. Also finding the back of the net once and credited with an assist is Sophie Placke.
Between the posts, Makenna Garcia has started all seven matches. The redshirt junior sports a 1.00 GAA with 31 saves and a .838 save percentage. Coming off the bench to play two halves has been Natalie Mayes. She has surrendered a goal and made five stops.

Texas State leads the all-time series 9-2-1. Last season saw the Bobcats win 2-1 on the road with the winning tally coming on a breakaway with 49 seconds remaining off the right foot of Wright.
The last match to be played in San Marcos took place on Sept. 20, 2020. TXST claimed a 3-2 victory behind goals from
Kiara Gonzales and Emma Jones in the finale six minutes of play to complete the comeback. When hosting the Cajuns, the Bobcats are 5-0-0 all-time.
