SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team (33-20, 15-12 Sun Belt) wraps up the regular season with a three-game series at Bobcat Ballpark against ULM (16-35, 5-21 Sun Belt). Games on Thursday and Friday will begin at 6 p.m. and Saturday's finale is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch with the Bobcats honoring their seniors prior to the contest.
 
All three games will be streamed on ESPN+ with Brant Freeman and Ty Harrington calling the action. Fan can also catch Saturday's contest on KTSW 89.9 FM.

ABOUT TEXAS STATE
The Bobcats enter the series on a season-long four-game losing streak after falling to TCU on Tuesday. It is the longest streak since they dropped the final nine games of the 2021 season. TXST has already clinched a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and can finished as high as third or as low as 10th.
 
Davis Powell continues to lead the offense with a .350 average, 57 hits, 42 runs and 16 doubles. Freshman Chase Mora has hit a team best 16 home runs, tied for the sixth most in a season by a Bobcat, while batting .322 with 51 RBI and 35 runs scored. The freshman enters the game on an 11-game hitting streak. Also with double-digit homers is Jose Gonzalez (52 RBI) and August Ramirez (31 RBI) with 12 and 10, respectively.
 
Getting the ball on Thursday will be Levi Wells, who sports a 7-3 record, 4.79 ERA and team-high 85 strikeouts. Zeke Wood is slated to start on Friday and enters with a 2-3 record, 4.85 ERA and 59 punch outs over 52.0 innings. The finale will see Tony Robie (5-3, 4.09 ERA, 44 K) take the mound to start.
 
Triston Dixon (5-1, 4.66 ERA, 5 SV) has made a team-high 26 appearances in relief. Pacing all relievers with 58 strikeouts and a 3.38 ERA while also posting a 3-2 record and three saves is Jack Stroud.
 
ABOUT ULM
The Warhawks have dropped six consecutive games after being swept by Louisiana and Southern Miss at home. ULM is 6-14 on the road with a 3-8 mark in conference games.
 
Shawn Weatherbee leads the team with a .287 average and 38 runs. His six home runs are tied for the most on the squad with Riley Davis (.269, 12 2B, 27 RBI). Also with a team best 27 RBI is Kade Dupont, who is hitting .276 with 10 doubles and three homers.
 
Thursday's starter will be Cam Barlow. The lefty is 3-6 with a 5.82 ERA and 48 strikeouts over 60.1 innings in 13 starts. Nicholas Judice will make his third start on Friday. The junior sports a 2-3 record, two saves, a 3.94 ERA and team-high 63 strikeouts. Saturday's starter is to be announced.
 
Carson Orton has made a team-high 19 relief appearances and is 4-4 with three saves, 5.76 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 29.2 innings. Russell Derbyshire (7.16 ERA, 18 K) and Dalton Burrell (3.97 ERA, 18 K) have made 17 and 15 outings out of the bullpen, respectively.
 
SERIES VS. WARHAWKS
Texas State leads the all-time series 51-36 over ULM and have won the last six meetings. Last loss to the Warhawks was by a score of 6-5 in San Marcos on Mar. 26, 2021. When hosting, the Bobcats are 27-16 and have not lost a home series since 2004.
