SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State tennis ends the regular season by hosting ULM on Senior Day Saturday, April 22 at 11 a.m. at the Bobcat Tennis Complex. Senior
Kate Malazonia will be recognized prior to the match.
On Monday, Texas State (6-14, 2-8 Sun Belt) beat Louisiana 4-3 in a comeback win on the road. This was the Bobcats fifth 4-3 win and third on the road. In singles the Bobcats lost the first set on all but one court and came back to win the second set on the same courts.
Four players now have an active win streak in singles, including
Mae McCutcheon with two.
Kiana Graham and
Kate Malazonia are both two wins away from having double digit singles wins.
Sofia Fortuno follows with seven court six wins.
About ULM
ULM (5-16, 3-7 Sun Belt) broke a four-match losing streak when they picked up two wins at home last weekend against Georgia State and Troy.
The Warhawks have won seven doubles points this season including a sweep against Nicholls. Alessandra Anghel and Angela Del Campo Suarez are 5-3 on the top court, the best doubles record for ULM. On court three Alice Klinetby has an 8-6 singles record and went 2-0 on the weekend.
ULM leads the series 8-3, defeating Texas State in the last seven meetings.

Kendall Brooks and ULM Head Coach Ivone Alvaro will end their first regular season at the helm of their programs on Saturday.
