SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State tennis hosts Marshall Friday, March 31 at 2 p.m. and App State on Sunday, April 2 at 10 a.m. at the Bobcat Tennis Complex. The pair of conference matches will conclude the Bobcats three-match homestand.
Texas State (4-11, 0-5 Sun Belt) fell 4-0 in their final non-conference match of the season on Wednesday to No. 65 Brown. The Bobcats are on a six-match losing streak and have not been able to get an early start to matches, losing the doubles point three consecutive times.

Jacqueline Schnabel made her first appearance this season on line six.
About Marshall
Marshall (9-6, 3-2 Sun Belt) split its previous weekend of matches with a 4-0 win at Georgia State and a 4-2 loss at Troy. Doubles team Aisling McGrane and Sophia Hurrion have a nine-match win streak with a 7-0 record on court two. The Herd's top court team Emma Vanderheyden and Johanna Strom are 10-3. Strom who was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week earlier this season, has played across the top three courts and is 10-1 on line two. Three other players for Marshall have an active win streak with no more than two matches.
This will be the first meeting between Texas State and Marshall since the Herd joined the conference in July 2022.
About App State
Following their first conference loss to James Madison, App State (7-5, 4-1 Sun Belt) picked up wins at Troy and Georgia State. In the last outing the Mountaineers shut out Georgia State 4-0. In those road wins, freshman Savannah Dada-Mascoll helped in App State's come from behind win with a straight sets victory at No. 2 singles. Dada-Mascoll has won nine straight matches with her lone loss coming from a top-20 ranked opponent. Top court player, Helena Jansen has six singles win. The Mountaineers has won seven of its doubles points this season.
App State will make a stop at Louisiana before the match with Texas State as part of their four straight road games. Texas State won last seasons meeting with App State 4-2 in the first round of the conference championship.
