The Bobcats closed out the first round four-over 288, while Illinois leads the field 21-under.Â

Kasper Nyland shot two rounds five-under 66, a new single round low for the junior. Nyland was just one of three Bobcats that completed the second round of play before it was suspended by darkness. He closed out the first day recording five birdies in both rounds, moving from third to first place in front of six top-100 ranked players.Â

Nyland has a two-stroke lead on Will Skipp from South Alabama, the next player to have completed two rounds.Â

Tom Roed Karlsen finished two-under 69 in the first round with three birdies. He is three-over par with one hole left in the second round.
