SAN MARCOS, Texas – After playing two straight matches on the road, the Texas State soccer team (7-5-3, 2-2-3 Sun Belt) is back at the Bobcat Soccer Complex on Thursday. The 7 p.m. contest will be the first time that the Bobcats will face Old Dominion (10-1-3, 5-1-1 Sun Belt).
Admission to the match is free. Fans can also catch the action on ESPN+, on the radio on KTSW 89.9 FM and follow along via live stats.
Thursday is the team's Kick Out Cancer match. The team is holding an
auction to raise funds for the Leukemia and lymphoma Society. The auction will end on Thursday at 8 p.m. and winners can pick up their items at the match or a later date.
About Texas State
The Bobcats picked up a big road point last Friday with a scoreless draw at James Madison. With the result, TXST have won just once in their last six matches while claiming three draws. Entering the weekend, Texas State is tied for ninth in the Sun Belt Conference standings with Arkansas State and is three points ahead of Louisiana.
Olivia Wright has scored a team-high five goals while also leading the team with 12 points. Tallying three goals apiece has been

Mady Soumare. Both
Kennley Bradley and Meza lead the squad with four assists while
Lily Erb,
Lucy Hart and Junior have been credited with three assists each.
In goal,
Caitlyn Draper has started eight consecutive matches where she sports a 0.83 GAA. The Hutto, Texas native has made 41 saves for a .837 save percentage and recorded five shutouts. Draper is sixth among freshmen nationally in both GAA and save percentage.
About Old Dominion
The Monarchs lead the East Division with 13 divisional points and are five points ahead of App State, which they beat 1-0 last Friday. The lone loss this season came to Louisiana (1-0) on Sept. 21 and the draw was to JMU (0-0). On the road, ODU is 5-0-1 with a 3-0-0 mark against Sun Belt opponents.
Ece Turkoglu leads the team with five goals and 11 points. Finding the back of the net four times has been Megan Watts. With three of them being match-winners. She also has a team best 27 shots and 13 shots on goal. Aleigha Arndt, Andrea Balcazar Algarin and Madison Micheletti have been credited with a team-high two assists.
Between the posts, Emily Bredek has played in all 14 matches and started 13 of them. The reigning Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week leads the nation with a 0.29 GAA and is tied for third with a .902 save percentage while making 37 saves. Erin Jones only appearance in goal was a start against Richmond on Aug. 27 in which she played the first 23:40 minutes and faced two shots, both of which were not put on frame.
All-Time vs. Monarchs
Thursday will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Old Dominion will be the last of the four recent additions to the Sun Belt that Texas State will play.
