Texas State cross country is set to compete at the 34th Annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.
 
Getting underway with the Women's Collegiate "Prairie Fire Pepper" 5K at 3:15 p.m., both the men's and women's teams for the Bobcats will compete in their respective races Friday afternoon. The men's side will race at 3:45 p.m. in the Men's Collegiate "Prairie Fire Pepper" 8K.
 
The women's team will be among the 45+ schools racing at 3:15 p.m. On the men's side, there will be 48 schools in the 3:45 p.m. race.

This is the third of four meets the Bobcats will compete at prior to the Sun Belt Championships in late October. In their last meet on September 16 at Texas A&M, Megan Ombres led the women's side for the second time in as many races while freshman Zachary Kehler paced the men.
