Bobcats Fall 4-1 to Warhawks

Box Score Monroe, La.- Texas State (5-15, 2-8) got an early start against ULM (7-11, 4-6) in doubles, but fell short in singles at Heard Stadium.
 
"Today's conditions (extremely windy) were tough especially after such a mentally tough day yesterday," said Texas State women's tennis head coach Tory Plunkett. "ULM played a good match, and we just couldn't capitalize on the few opportunities we had." 
 
Doubles
Kylee Shannon and Sofia Fortuño dropped the first doubles match of the day 6-4.
 
Hana Kvapilova and Kate Malazonia won their No. 1 match 6-4, now having a four-match win streak.
 
Mae McCutcheon and Jadeh Chan came in to clinch the doubles point 7-6 (11-9) for the Bobcats.
 
Singles
Texas State was unable to secure any singles matches against ULM.
 
Kate Malazonia lost 6-3, 7-5 to Alessandra Anghel on court two. McCutcheon lost on court three 6-3,6-4 to Brianna Gomez. Sofia Foftuño recorded the third loss in singles 6-4,6-3 to Oleksandra Balaba.
 
Kvapilova and Maria Lora's matches went unfinished in the third set.
