Box Score SAN MARCOS, Texas- Women's tennis (3-7, 1-1) put up an early fight against UT Arlington (12-1, 1-0) in doubles, but lost momentum in singles to fall 5-2 for the first home match of the season.
"UTA is a very tough team, but that didn't matter to us," said Texas State women's tennis head coach
Tory Plunkett. "We wanted to win and knew we could, and it showed in our players' energy. UTA just held the competitive mental toughness a little longer than us, but now we know what it takes to win, and we are ready for our next match."
