SAN MARCOS, Texas- Texas State women's tennis (4-8, 1-1) resumes conference play when they travel to Coastal Carolina (6-5, 1-1) and Appalachian State (2-8, 0-1) March 18 and 20.
The Bobcats
Texas State concluded a three-match homestand against UT Arlington, Gonzaga and Liberty.
The Bobcats suffered their first conference loss against UT Arlington 5-2. They were able to bounce back and get a 4-3 win against Gonzaga, their first win at home. The homestand finale ended with a 4-0 loss against Liberty.
Fifth year senior
Hana Kvapilova is on a three-match win streak in the No. 1 singles spot with a 7-4 record.
The Chanticleers
This will be the first meeting between Texas State and Coastal Carolina since 2019, when the Chanticleers won 4-0.
Coastal Carolina has a win against Georgia Southern, 4-3, and a loss to Georgia State 4-2, to even out their conference record.
Victoire De Samucewicz and Jesse Hollins are a consistent doubles pair on line two for the Chanticleers with a 6-0 record.
De Samucewicz is 3-3 in No. 1 singles, and 4-2 on line two.

The Mountaineers
The last matchup for the teams was when Texas State defeated Appalachian State 4-1 in the first round of the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Appalachian State was on a three-match losing streak, including their one conference loss to Georgia State, 2-4. They picked up their second win of the season 7-0 against Lees-McRae College.
Helena Jansen is 4-4 at the No. 1 singles spot, Erika Dodridge is 5-3 at No. 2 singles with a three-match win streak.
Jensen and Ellie Murphy team up for the No. 1 doubles and have a three-match win streak with a 4-3 record.
