SAN MARCOS, Texas- Texas State (3-7, 1-1) hosts Gonzaga (6-3, 0-0) and have the chance to end their four-match win streak on Saturday, March 12 at the Bobcat Tennis Complex at 11 a.m. 
 
This will be Texas State's second home match of the season. They played UT Arlington Wednesday, March 9 where they lost 5-2. 
 
Texas State and Gonzaga will be meeting for the first time in program history on Saturday. 
 
The Bobcats
Texas State put up an early fight winning the doubles point against the Mavericks, the first of the season, but couldn't keep up in singles.
 
Sofia Fortuno and Kylee Shannon won the first doubles match of the season 6-3, and Mae McCutcheon and Jadeh Chan clinched the point 7-6 (8-6).
 
Hana Kvapilova was the only Bobcat to win a singles match, winning flight No. 1 6-2, 6-1, and has a two-match win streak.
 
The Zags
Gonzaga is currently on a Texas road swing where they beat UTSA 4-2, and play Houston today. The Zags will have a match on three consecutive days for the first time of the season, with Texas State hosting the finale. 
 
In their recent match against UTSA, Gonzaga lost the doubles point after it was tied, and won all the singles matches expect the No. 2 singles.
 
Their three close losses of the season were against Cal Poly, Colorado State, and Colorado. 
 
Last season the Zags were 13-8 overall, and 5-3 in the West Coast Conference. 
 
Natalie Pluskota-Hamberg is in her first year as head coach for Gonzaga.
