SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's golf head coach
Shane Howell announced the spring 2023 schedule which features six tournaments before the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Championship at the Annandale Golf Club.
Texas State will open the spring season at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate from Feb. 13-14. The Bobcats will play a total of four tournaments in the month of March, beginning with the Wyoming Desert Collegiate in Palm Desert, Calif. March 1-3.
From March 13-14 Texas State will compete in Lafayette, La. at the Louisiana Classics. The team will return to Texas to take on their only tournament of the season in the lone star state, the All-American Intercollegiate, hosted by Houston from March 20-21.
Following a quick turnaround, the Bobcats will travel to Gulf Shores, Ala. for the Craft Farms Intercollegiate from March 26-28. This will be the second tournament of the spring hosted by South Alabama that the Bobcats will take part in.
To close out the regular-season Texas State will compete in the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial from April 10-11 in Charlottesville, Virginia before the Sun Belt Conference Championship April 24-27 in Madison, Miss.
The Bobcats brought home their first tournament title of the season at the Tempest Collegiate and
Tom Roed Karlsen was the individual champion of the tournament.
