SAN MARCOS, Texas – Levi Bell was named a 2022 All-America Honorable Mention by Phil Steele while the defensive lineman was one of three Bobcats, joined by Kyle Hergel and Jordan Revels, to receive All-Sun Belt honors from Phil Steele as the publication released its postseason honors on Thursday.
 
Bell was named All-Sun Belt First Team by Phil Steele, and Hergel and Revels were named second team and fourth team, respectively. For Hergel, it was his second career all-conference honor from Phil Steele while it was the first for both Bell and Revels.
 
Bell, who was named a third team All-American by PFF in late November, added to his accolades following his 2022 breakout season. In all 12 games, the Cedar Park, Texas native was the team leader in tackles for loss and second in sacks. His TFLs were a program FBS record, third in the Sun Belt, and top-30 in the nation.
 
Hergel played in 878 snaps, nearly all of which were at right guard, and finished the season with two sacks allowed on 510 pass plays. His overall blocking efficiency, as measured by PFF, was third-best among guards in the Sun Belt.
 
Revels had a career year after moving from defensive line to edge linebacker as he tabulated a personal-best 70 tackles, 11 TFLs and 4.5 sacks in 12 games.
 
Bell and Hergel have now been named all-conference by Sun Belt coaches and media, PFF and Phil Steele. Revels was named All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention by conference coaches and media.
