Sparks Added to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Texas State football's Beau Sparks was today named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, which is sponsored by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., and annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver regardless of position.

Sparks leads the Bobcats with 674 receiving yards (5th, NCAA) off 47 receptions and six (13th, NCAA) of TXST's nine receiving TDs in 2025. He also ranks in the top 10 nationally for receiving yards per game (96.3) and receptions per game (6.71). The junior has at least three catches in every game this season including a TXST-best 10 at Arizona State. In the season-opener against Eastern Michigan, Sparks had a career-high four receiving TDs, which tied the program record.

The El Paso, Texas, native has a pair of 100-yard receiving games in 2025, bringing his career total to three, and his 168-yard game at Marshall was a season-high and ranks ninth in the TXST record book.

The Biletnikoff Award's semifinalists, three finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.
