SAN MARCOS, Texas – The lone match this weekend sees the Texas State soccer team (10-2-2, 4-1-1 Sun Belt) travel to take on Troy (3-6-3, 1-3-2 Sun Belt) on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. from the Troy Soccer Complex.

Olivia Wright was the difference as the Bobcats pulled out a 2-1 victory at Louisiana this past Sunday. Also finding the back of the net was
Madi Goss, doing so from the penalty spot. It was her fourth made penalty kick of the season that set a new program season record and her team leading eighth tally of the year. TXST enters the match leading the West Division with 13 points and are one ahead of both Arkansas State and South Alabama.
Zoe Junior ranks second on the squad with four goals with all of them being match-winners. Wright has netted three goals while both
Bailey Peschel and
Addison Peters have scored twice.
Juana Plata enters with a team-high four assists. Credited with two assists has been
Haley Shaw,
Mya Ulloa and Goss.
Katelyn Chrisman heads into the match with a 1.16 GAA while making 40 saves and sporting a .727 save percentage over 13 matches between the posts.
About Troy
The Trojans are coming off a weekend in which they lost at home to Old Dominion before pulling out a road draw at Southern Miss. Troy's lone victory in conference play came on the road against Georgia State and ended 3-2. At home, the Trojans are 1-2-1 with the lone victory being against Mercer on Sept. 1 and the draw being scoreless versus Georgia Southern to open conference play.
Scoring a team-high two goals each has been Erin Bloomfield, Jordan Stack and Nia Wilson. Coming in with a team best three assists is Gabrielle Chartier.
In goal, Lindsey LaRoche has played all 1,080 possible minutes. She has a 1.50 GAA with 37 saves and a .673 save percentage.
All-Time Series
The all-time series is knotted up 6-6-0 and has seen Troy win the last three meetings by 1-0 scores with last year's meeting taking place at the Troy Soccer Complex. The last win for Texas State came on Oct. 31, 2018 in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Tournament. The Bobcats claimed a 1-0 victory with the lone goal being netted by Kaylee Davis late in the 63rd minute after a cross into the box from Genesis Turman.
When playing the Trojans on the road, the Bobcats are 2-3-0 with the last win coming on Oct. 14, 2018. That day saw TXST win 3-0 with an opening goal from Kayla Geren and two more late in the second half courtesy of Davis.
